We are Eli Marcus and Jai Bansal, recent Newman graduates from the Class of 2026 who took the digital SAT last year. We remember how daunting the SAT can feel, especially when progress seems impossible or there is way too much to fix at once. We help students one-on-one with timing, patterns, confidence, and the tools built into the test.
Why E&J works

Eli helps across the whole SAT, with particular strength in Reading and Writing. He is good at slowing down messy passages, explaining why tempting answers are wrong, and making missed questions feel fixable instead of discouraging.
UPenn Wharton School Class of 2030
Jai helps across the whole SAT, with particular strength in Math. He teaches clean setup, fast pattern recognition, and practical Desmos judgment: when the built-in calculator can save time and when a simpler hand solution is better.
Modern digital SAT approach
The digital SAT is shorter, adaptive, and built around different timing decisions. Some questions carry more weight, and the built-in Desmos calculator changes how students should approach math.
We figured out what worked for us on the current SAT, what wasted time, and how to use tools like Desmos without depending on them for everything. Now we help students build that same judgment.
Parent FAQ
The SAT is now digital, shorter, and adaptive. The second module changes based on how the student does, and some questions can matter more for the score than others.
Desmos is the calculator built into the test. It can graph, solve equations, and check answers quickly, but students need to know when it helps and when it slows them down.
Many colleges are returning to testing requirements or placing more value on scores. A stronger SAT score can still be a real advantage in admissions.
Inside a session
Find what is costing points. We identify whether the issue is content, timing, confidence, or a repeated mistake.
Decode the question. We show what the test is really asking, how answer choices are designed, and which clues make the right answer easier to spot.
Build faster strategies. We teach formulas, shortcuts, Desmos techniques, and test-taking methods that save time without sacrificing accuracy.
Practice with purpose. Students apply each strategy to real SAT-style questions until it feels natural, not memorized.
Leave confident and prepared. Our goal is for students to know what to look for, trust their process, and feel supported going into test day.
